User Data Deletion
AcquireBrands is a brand operated by Mentify LLC ("we", "us"). This page explains how to ask us to delete data we hold about you, including data we received through Facebook or Instagram, and what happens after you ask.
You do not need an account with us to make a request, and making one costs you nothing. We will not treat you differently for asking.
What this covers
We operate a Facebook Page and an Instagram professional account. When you comment publicly on a post on one of those accounts, Meta sends us that comment, and we store it so we can read, organise, review and reply to it. What we hold is described in full in our Privacy Policy, and in summary is:
- the text of your comment and the time it was posted
- the public username or account identifier Meta provides with it, and the identifier Meta assigns to the comment and to the post it was left on
- which account and post it belongs to, and whether it is a reply
- our own record of how we handled it — a classification of what kind of comment it is, whether it was reviewed, and whether it was replied to, hidden or removed
You can also ask us to delete information you gave us directly through a form on this website, such as your name, email address and your answers to that form.
What to include in your request
So that we can find your data and avoid deleting somebody else's, please tell us:
- the platform — Facebook or Instagram
- your username or handle on that platform, exactly as it appears
- which of our accounts or posts you commented on, if you remember, or roughly when
- the email address and name you used, if you are also asking about a form you submitted on this website
Your username and the platform are usually enough on their own. If what you send does not identify a record, we will reply and ask for one more detail rather than guess — we would rather ask twice than delete the wrong person's data.
How to submit the request
Email privacy@acquirebrands.com with the subject line Data deletion request, addressed to Mentify LLC, including the details above.
That address is monitored by our own staff. We aim to acknowledge within a few working days and to complete the request within 30 days.
What we delete
Once we have located your records we delete, from our own systems:
- the stored text of your comments and the usernames and account and comment identifiers stored with them
- our internal classification and review records for those comments
- where you have also asked about it, the contact record and form submissions you sent us through this website
Where a record cannot be deleted outright because we need to keep a trace of an action we took — for example, that a comment was hidden or removed, and when — we anonymise it instead: the identifying content is removed and what remains is a record that an action happened, carrying nothing that points back to you. We will tell you plainly which of the two applied.
What we cannot delete
We want to be honest about the limits, because a promise we cannot keep is worse than a clear boundary:
- The comment on Facebook or Instagram itself. That copy belongs to your account and lives on Meta's platform. You can delete it yourself from the post, or from your activity on that platform. Deleting it there does not by itself remove the copy we already received, which is why this page exists; deleting it here does not remove it from the platform.
- Records we are required to keep. Where law obliges us to retain something, we keep only that, for only as long as we must, and we tell you what it is.
- Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle rather than edited individually. A deleted record may persist in a backup for a short period and is not restored into active use.
Confirmation
When the request has been processed we email you a confirmation saying what was deleted, what was anonymised, and anything we had to keep and why. If we cannot find a record matching what you sent, we tell you that too rather than letting the request go unanswered.
Send requests to privacy@acquirebrands.com, addressed to Mentify LLC, with the subject line Data deletion request. Our full Privacy Policy explains everything we collect and why.
Other rights
Deletion is one of several things you can ask for. You can also ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, send you a copy, or stop using it for marketing. Those requests go to the same address and are described in the Privacy Policy.
